OUR
ASSOCIATES
ITI personnel are highly trained, skilled and
knowledgeable, with many years of experience in housing
and other social programs. Highlights of their training
and experience are show below:
President: Charles (Charlie) Hill:
Grew up on the
Six Nations reserve, and has worked and lived in First
Nations communities from coast to coast. He has taught
school, from adult literacy to elementary to post
secondary levels. He is also a graduate of Queens
University and has years of experience in program
management, housing policy development and program
evaluation.
Carol-Ann Cheff: Holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
from Queens University and is an Art Therapist with a
post-graduate diploma from the University of Western
Ontario. She has a range of experience in life skills
training and conducting art therapy sessions for both
Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal organizations and in First
Nations communities.
Sandra Brown: Born in North Battleford, SK.,
Sandra graduated from Lakeland College in Lloydminster
AB in 1992. She has served as Manager of the
Lloydminster Métis Housing Group since 1998, and has
extensive experience as a front line worker with first
hand knowledge of the issues facing Aboriginal housing
organizations.
Jim Lanigan: Has extensive experience in program
development, program management and program planning at
senior and executive positions. He has held a range of
positions with a number of Aboriginal representative
organizations and also has more than thirty years
experience working with housing delivery organizations
in urban areas.
Michael Shapcott: Has wide experience in project
planning, development and management, and has worked
nationally and internationally on housing and housing
rights, poverty and health equity with both Aboriginal
and non-Aboriginal organizations. He attended the U of A
Calgary and the Faculty of Law at U of T, and has
completed work at the London School of Economics and
Political Science in Britain and the University of Siena
(Italy).
